SEE HOW IT’S DONE

Orthopaedics

Our first hospital was founded on orthopaedics in 1922. Many orthopaedic practices that are common in health care today were first discovered and practiced at Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Burn care

Our hospitals specializing in acute and rehabilitative burn care continue to be pioneers in pediatric burn treatment and research and are recognized as leaders in the development of improved and innovative techniques.

Cleft lip and palate

No two facial clefts are ever the same. Our research continues to find better, customized solutions to cleft care, from infancy to adolescence.

Spinal cord injury

To provide the best, most innovative care possible, we’re involved in several research efforts, including quality of life studies, the development of diagnostic standards for pediatric injuries and studies to understand repairing and regenerating the spinal cord.
