Many of you know our friend Kaleb. With his contagious smile and signature bow tie, Kaleb loves sharing his story of strength and perseverance as he overcomes the daily obstacles of living with an orthopaedic condition.

To celebrate Mother’s Day, we’d like to introduce you to a very important person in Kaleb’s life: his mom, Marie-Hélène. She turned to Shriners Hospitals for Children® for specialized care as soon as her son was born. “The first time we came to Shriners Hospitals for Children, we knew right away it was going to become our family,” she says.

Over the years, the hospital has provided Marie-Hélène and Kaleb a home and a community. Her bond with the doctors and nurses, the hospital staff, and the parents of other patients has provided Marie-Hélène the support she needs to encourage Kaleb through his journey of hope and healing. She calls these special relationships “long-lasting love stories.”

Marie-Hélène’s wish is for Kaleb to live a happy, healthy life, full of positivity and adventure. And she knows that is only possible because of the generous support of people like you. “For a mother like me, a donation to Shriners Hospitals for Children means I can see my son laugh, means I can see my son play with other kids. It means I can see my son enjoying life.”
