What is a Matching Gift?

A matching gift is a type of gift in which companies match donations that employees make to organizations. When an employee makes a donation, and requests a matching gift from their employer, the employer will then make a donation. Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio. Matching gifts build employee and customer loyalty, sending a strong message to our community that your company cares about kids.

Why are matching gifts beneficial to Shriners Children’s?

Shriners Children’s™ is changing lives every day through innovative pediatric specialty care, world-class research and outstanding medical education. Our healthcare system provides advanced care for children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate.

Doubling or tripling your gift will help increase the impact on how many children we are able to help.
