Sarah is One in a Million
Story Summary
“Watch Me Dance!”
Sarah has the soul and spirit of a dancer. She feels the rhythm of the music and wants to get on stage and perform!
But Sarah was born without a left leg, hip, and lower spine. The doctors told her parents she’d never walk. But today she not only walks — she dances!
Thanks to custom treatments at Shriners Hospitals for Children®, along with specialized prosthetics that are resized to grow as Sarah does (she got her first when she was just one year old!), she’s able to dance and spin with beauty, grace, and determination.
Sarah is overjoyed to do what she loves. And so is her family. When Sarah dances, and everyone stands up to cheer, you can be sure her mom and dad are the proudest parents in the room. They’re grateful, too, to caring friends like you. Our goal is to keep Sarah dancing, smiling and following her dreams for many more years to come, and to do that we need your help today.
Watch Sarah’s amazing story and see how your generous support makes an impact in the lives of children and families facing orthopaedic conditions, severe burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate.
