You can give via the “donate” button at the top of our Facebook Page or you can give to someone else’s fundraiser or create your own Facebook fundraiser.

Tips for creating a Facebook fundraiser

  • Make sure your donation goal is achievable. If the fundraiser is going well, you can always increase it to encourage people to keep going.
  • In order to see your impact or make changes, you can manage your fundraiser under the “Fundraisers” tab on Facebook.
  • Donate to your own fundraiser. Other people are more likely to donate if someone else already has.
  • Interact with people on your fundraiser page.
  • Share your fundraiser page on your Facebook newsfeed in order to raise awareness among your friends that you are fundraising for Shriners Hospitals for Children and why.
  • Make sure to thank your supporters early and often. Give shout outs to specific people.
  • Encourage your Facebook friends to share your fundraiser on their pages or create their own fundraiser is Shriners honor.
  • Post weekly/bi-weekly updates on how the fundraiser is going.
  • At the start of the fundraiser create milestones. For example, by week 2 you would like to reach 30% of your goal.
